Mooloolaba Weddings hosts the Today Show

What a perfect day!  FOR A WEDDING ON THE TODAY SHOW

We got the call on Monday afternoon to say, “The Today Show and Visit Sunshine Coast are filming at Mooloolaba on Thursday morning and they would like to feature a beach wedding, can you do that?”. After a moment of panic, the phone tree was running hot and we had our dream team lined up. We were just missing a bride and groom, cue the beautiful Lindsey (from Immersive Events) and her lovely boyfriend, Josh.

Avenue J Jewellery supplied the stunning pearl earrings and necklace. Marilyn Crystelle Bridal had the perfect dress for the bride and Suits Direct had the groom looking handsome in his suit. Chocolate 2 Chilli got cracking on the wedding cake, while That Little Flower Shop got busy creating the bouquet and arbour flowers.

Fast track to Thursday morning and the team from Glamacamp were the first to arrive at 4am with a truck full of goodies, Cloud Nine not far behind with the arbour and seating. Megan M and Sandi from Rolling Scissors were already hard at work in Empire Art Photography’s studio, glamming up our couple… and the sun hasn’t even come up yet! The beach has been combed, the finishing touches added, and the sun makes its appearance setting the backdrop for a picture-perfect day on the beach. Lou O’Brien and Empire Art Photography are busy tag teaming making sure they capture every angle of the morning. Is it time for a coffee yet?

Meanwhile the Today Show team are busy doing their thing crossing back and forth between Karl and the team in the Channel 9 studio and Tim Davies, the weatherman and his crew on the beach at Mooloolaba. 7.30am and it is getting closer for our national debut. Tim comes over and runs through with Suzanne Riley, our celebrant on how the segment will go.

8.05 and it’s go time!!! Watch the clip below to see for yourself how the rest of the morning unfolded.

We sure did show Australia why Mooloolaba is the perfect place to get married.
